If you buy anything on Amazon, here is a link you can use that gives me a small referral every time you order: http://amzn.to/2x5io29 (It doesn’t cost you anything and you still get the same great low prices on Amazon! It’s easy to save the link into your favorite internet browser as a shortcut. The link works for practically anything you buy and don’t worry, I don’t see what you ordered and won’t even know that you used it unless you tell me.)

My Story:
After breaking my arm in March 2017, I was diagnosed with RSD/CRPS by my Neurologist and Orthopedic Surgeon. I had never heard of CRPS, so I immediately went home to google it. That was the last thing I should have done, because what I found made me believe my life was over. It’s a complicated and *bizarre* disorder. Basically, my neurological system went ‘haywire’ and got ‘stuck’ in fight/flight mode. My brain is still sending pain signals to my arm as if my arm is still broken. Not only that, but CRPS ‘spreads’ and is progressive, and can affect every system (brain, digestion, heart/circulatory etc.). Mine is affecting both arms/hands and legs/feet and I have also had symptoms in my neck and back of head. The ways it has affected my brain function: I lose my balance often and have fallen many times because of this. I am also having difficulty articulating (finding correct simple words). Anything sensory can overwhelm my system and cause a ‘flare’. I cannot tolerate the sun on my right hand as it feels like it is on fire. Taking a hot shower causes a flare.
Doctors want to (unsuccessfully) treat patients like me with Ketamine (horse sedative), induced comas, nerve blocks and amputation. Usually the amputation is with the urging of the patient because the pain is considered the highest on the pain scale, higher than childbirth, and is the reason CRPS is nicknamed ‘The Suicide Disease’.
I have chosen to take the non-invasive, and only known successful route, at The Neurological Relief Center in Fayetteville, AK. I will be relocating there for 10 weeks for this specialized treatment. I would be deeply grateful to receive any help to offset the expenses of this treatment. Because of this neurological disorder I lost my job, insurance (which doesn’t even cover this specialized treatment!), sold my car and belongings, and moved out of my home, in Destin, FL.
I appreciate any and all support from family and friends. Even just one dollar helps go toward this treatment. $18,000 covers a significant portion of the 10 weeks of treatment and a personal recovery unit they recommend I use after treatment.
Their treatment system consists of the following:
1) A technique developed by Dr. Katinka and Dr. Manuel Mazzini from Milan, Italy. The aim of this technique is to restore tone to the vagus nerve and to bring about balance to the autonomic nervous system, thereby decreasing inflammation in the nervous system and encouraging healing in the body.
2) Decreasing inflammation in the nerves using Frequency Specific Microcurrent.
3) Neuromuscular re-education therapy for:
- Relaxation of muscle spasms;
- Prevention or retardation of disuse atrophy;
- Increasing local blood circulation;
- Muscle re-education (important, since your brain will force your body to “forget” to move in ways that cause you pain).
- Maintaining or increasing range of motion.
4) Detoxification
5) Genetic profiling is used to design a specific course of personalized supplementation.
I hope you follow my journey of healing. The successful healing stories I have seen from this treatment facility have been truly amazing. I know that with this treatment I will be able to use my hand again, walk normally (and run, hike, kayak, ride a bike, etc!!) and have proper brain function again. Thank you so much for your support. You can also support my healing by using our affiliate link on Amazon or joining our travel journeys on Patreon.
I have a SUPER-POSITIVE attitude about this! I will recover! I am focused on having fun along the way. I am enjoying the journey and so very thankful because it has taught me so many things, and I believe there is a reason for it, but I’m ready to have my life back!! 🙂
